JumpStart Volleyball Camp is designed for athletes in grades 5–8 who are ready to learn the game, build strong fundamentals, and gain confidence in a fun, competitive environment. As part of the HBCU Showcase® experience, JumpStart introduces athletes to high-level training while setting the foundation for future showcase participation.

Who is JumpStart Camp for?
JumpStart Volleyball Camp is designed for athletes in grades 5–8 who are interested in learning volleyball, improving their skills, and building confidence in a supportive, structured environment.
Is this camp only for advanced players?
No. JumpStart is open to all skill levels. Whether your athlete is new to volleyball or already playing on a team, the camp focuses on fundamentals, development, and growth.
How does this camp prepare my child for future recruiting?
While college recruiting happens later, JumpStart focuses on laying the foundation early—teaching proper technique, game awareness, discipline, and training habits that will benefit athletes as they progress into high school and future showcases.
Is JumpStart connected to the HBCU Showcase®?
Yes. JumpStart is part of the HBCU Showcase® experience and is designed to prepare younger athletes for future participation in showcases and higher-level competition.
Who will be coaching the camp?
The camp will be led by experienced coaches and staff affiliated with the Black Volleyball Circuit and HBCU Showcase®, with a focus on teaching, encouragement, and skill development.
What will athletes work on during camp?
Athletes will participate in skill stations, position-specific drills, team activities, and competitive games designed to improve fundamentals, confidence, and understanding of the game.
What should my child bring to camp?
Athletes should bring athletic shoes, knee pads, water, and a positive attitude. Additional details will be sent prior to the camp.
Is this camp a tryout or evaluation?
No. JumpStart is development-focused, not a tryout or recruiting event. The goal is learning, growth, and preparation for future opportunities.
Where will JumpStart Camp be held?
JumpStart Camp will be held in conjunction with select HBCU Showcase® locations, including Dallas and California. Specific venue details will be provided at registration.
Are there refunds if my child cannot attend?
All registrations are final. No refunds will be issued. Please review your schedule before registering.
